Description: The Parent Professional Teams Workshop is an annual extensive 4.5 day training This workshop is established to strengthen teams so that they can return to their installation to assist families who have individuals with disabilities Participants will gain: Skills to develop and maintain effective parent support and information groups on local installations, Advanced level training on Federal and Military Laws and regulations, Skills in team dynamics, Ability to access TRICARE, and TRICARE/ECHO services, Skills in negotiation and mediation, Information on the Exceptional Family Member Programs (EFMP) for each branch of service, Information on networking with resources within the civilian and military communities to assist families including accessing decision makers at the installation and federal level.
